So, I lost my camera cord almost 6 months ago and haven't posted any pics. Well, finally got a new cord and Voila! here's some old and recent pics. Things are good around our house and Jason will be home tomorrow for a full week! We will have lots going on and I promise to blog once he leaves again! Love you All!

Zoo

Right before Jason left for Georgia we took the kids to the zoo in Idaho Falls.

We were the first ones in the zoo so all the animals were awake and eating breakfast. The zookeeper let Kendall feed the otters. It was great!

4th of July Storm

The 4th of July we had a massive hail/rain/thunder storm in Chubbuck. This was the park in our back yard the next morning. Many people's basements flooded so we just took the kids outside and let them play in the lake while people helped neighbors clean up water damage. I've never seen this drastic of a storm and I've been in Chubbuck for 30 years!

In April, Jason, Casey, Kendall and I went to Lubbock, TX for Jason's nursing test. The reason we chose Lubbock is because my sister, Katie, lives there. Her son Hazen and Kendall had a great time together. We went swimming, to the discovery center, and even got to ride Thomas the train! Jason passed his test with flying colors. This was Kendall's first plane ride and tram ride so it was very exciting!

OK, so, I suck at blogging. the problem is, I lost my cord to my computer so I can't download pictures! I ordered a new one from amazon, so hopefully I"ll have that problem fixed soon. Anyway, here's an update on our family. Jason had to leave for Georgia for some officer training school so I drove down with him and flew home. That was a very scary trip. Here are a few details. We decided to go through Soda Springs and over thru Wyoming. Bad idea. Construction everywhere and it took us forever just to get to Cheyenne, where we decided to sleep that night. The second day, we drove thru the state of Nebraska. Boring. Except we stopped in North Platte to get some grub and witnessed a very terrible accident at the intersection in front of us. Jason of course being a nurse, was the first to check and make sure both victims were OK while we waited for the ambulance. That slowed us down a little, but soon we were off to Missouri. Just as we hit Kansas City the sun was slowing starting to set. Next thing we know a trucker is honking at us telling us that our back lights weren't working! So we pulled over at ten o'clock at night to try to find a fuse and get us back on the road. That of course took us an hour, but Jason was bound and determined to get us out of Kansas City that night. I can't even remember where we ended up that night. The next morning we were on to St. Louis. Ten minutes into the drive we are in stopped traffic on the freeway. After 45 minutes, we finally started moving again and passed by what had happened. A semi had caught fire. And I mean fire. The whole truck was melted down into something the size of a wheelbarrow. Then, when we hit St. Louis, we realize the side road we need to avoid the city traffic is closed. So.... we got to drive through the town. There were some college kids weaving and being crazy on the freeway, there must have been a big game or something. Anyway, they, of course, end up all crashed on the freeway in front of the semi in front of us. Luckily Jason barely got us stopped in time before we ended up in the back of the semi. We also had to pull a major stunt of crossing 6 lanes of traffic when the garmin (GPS) told us where to merge. But, no big deal we made it across and safely to Kentucky. Kentucky and Tennessee we had no problems and it was such a beautiful drive. Finally, we hit Georgia! It was very late but Jason was determined to make it to Columbus that night. We only ran into an icky situation at a convenient store where I'm pretty sure somebody was going to get shot, so we ran quickly away and decided we could wait for a potty break. But lo and behold we finally made it to Columbus Georgia, where the people are so kind and it is beautiful there. Jason and I got the next day together to explore Columbus and Ft. Benning where he will be stationed. The only glitch was when Jason locked the keys in the car! But an hour later we had that problem fixed too. It really was a great time, but i'm glad to be back home with the kids. Jason will be home the end of July for a week and then he goes to Augusta till November. The kids are wonderful and hopefully I will get some pics up here soon. So, stay posted!

Every year we look forward for the time to come to carve pumpkins. This year we invited Kadrie, Brooklyn and Rylie. It was a blast. I'm not sure if the girls did that much carving, but Jason and Gregg had fun!?! It's great to hang out with such great friends and our kids!

On Sunday, Jason graduated from Officer Candidate School and was commissioned a Second Lieutenant in the Army National Guard. I'm mad because my pictures all turned out dark so I'm waiting to get better ones (hopefully) from other people. This was a big deal for Jason and he has been working so hard to get this honor. We are so proud of him! We love you daddy! And now we only have 8 years left in the Army! The other neat part was that Jason's battle buddy (Casey Seckel) was the one that got to pin him at the ceremony. We love you Uncle Seckel!

Kindergarten, here we come! I can hardly believe that my little girl has now started kindergarten. She is so grown up! We went school shopping for clothes and shoes and she actually enjoyed it! She says she wants to own 30 pairs of shoes! Just like her mom! We also went and got her a perm. It turned out really good and is a lot easier to do. Here are pics of her first day and the first day that she got to ride the bus. And yes, she is in a jacket in August because Idaho weather sucks and it was soooooo cold that day.

Scott and Tina's Wedding

On the 4th of July, Jason's lifelong friend Scott finally got married. He and his wife Tina are the greatest! We had a great time with them the last 10 days getting ready for the wedding and just hanging out and catching up on life. They live in North Carolina and he is in the Army so we don't get to see them very often. The wedding was amazing. The place they chose was right on the Snake River and you could not have asked for a more beautiful place. Jason was a groomsman and Kendall was the flower girl. It was so nice to see my family dressed up! Kendall was definately ready to get out of her dress after about an hour because she wanted to go play with the boys! She'll always be my little tomboy! We wish Scott and Tina the very best and all the happiness in the world!

So, here we go again today for another type of X-ray for Quinten. My poor baby has gone through more in 6 months then most people do their whole lives. When Quinn was 8 weeks old he caught the RSV virus which immediately hospitalized him. Then he started developing some junk in his lungs and the Dr.'s just kept saying that it was a cold and it would pass. Well, after 4 different steroid prescriptions and 3 months of breathing treatments, they finally were convinced that this "cold" wasn't going away. Quinten has really bad reflux so a couple weeks ago they did a test to see if his trachea and esophagus were connected and maybe his formula was leaking into his lungs, but after that exam they decided everything was in tact and that was not the problem. So today we are testing his swallowing mechanism to see if something might be wrong there! Good thing that Quinn is such a good and happy baby. He just smiles at all the doctors and flirts with all the nurses. He's a good little boy and we are very lucky that there's nothing more seriously wrong with him. Well, wish us luck and we'll keep you all posted!!!

While we were in Mexico my mom and dad got the great opportunity to babysit our kids plus my sister's son Hazen! They had a great time. We weren't expecting snow while we were gone but they got a bunch of it, so grandpa improvised by putting grocery sacks on the kids feet and duck taping them around their ankles so they could go outside and build a snowman! They even got Kendall to ride a horse! Aren't grandparents the best!

For our 10th wedding anniversay, Jason and I went to Puerto Vallarta to renew our vows with 4 of our dearest friends. It was the best time of our lives. You're suppose to go on vacation to relax but all we did was go, go, go, to make sure that we saw and did everything! We went to the zoo and got to hold a baby panther! We went zip lining through the jungle! Went deep sea fishing and some of the braver ones (not me) went pairasailing! Here are some pictures of the most wonderful friends, sunsets, and adventures.
